The Guide to High School Boys:Part 1.


Disclaimer: I'm not going to pretend I know what I'm doing. I'm not going to pretend this is and exact description of ALL boys. I'm just here to write down what I have observed about the male species. That's all.


1. No matter what you say to them, they probably aren't fully listening. (Unless you are extremely close friends with said boy.) Boys have a tendency to only hear what they want to hear, and sometimes they don't even hear that. They may hear what you have to say, but they don't listen to what you have to say.

2. Boys are just as scared as you are when it comes to dating. Yes, that boy over there in the corner of your mind just might like you, and yes, he just might smile and make your heart melt, but he's just as scared of asking you out as you are of asking him. He just might sit by you, and stare at you in a non-creepy way, but he's probably shy. He's wondering the exact same thing you are, "Why won't he(or she) do something about this? Why won't he(or she) ask me out?" I will tell you why, because he is scared of rejection. You probably are too.

3. Boys are show-offs. Usually. They see a girl, they do something to show-off. This is especially true when you walk down the street and they happen to be on a skate-board, whether you know them or not.

4. Boys can be jerks. They lead you on, then move on to another girl in less than 24 hours.

5. Boys can be sweet. They can write wonderful poetry, and sing you a song. They can give you flowers, and make you feel beautiful.
