Day 23: These Are a Few Of My Favorite Things

-Curling up with a book and losing yourself in that world.
-The feeling you get when you finally finish a project, or finally understand a concept of Precalc
-Singing/Dancing on a trampoline in the pouring rain.
-The sound of rain.
-Reading old journal entries.
-The fantastic work that is Harry Potter.
-Watermelon slushies from Sonic.
-The feeling of accomplishment you get when you finish an art project you've been working on for weeks.
-Comments that make me laugh so hard my sides hurt and eyes water.
-Hugs.
-His smile. And laugh.

Day 22: I Should've Known.

L I E S.
They are around us everyday.
Everyday, we hear them.
Echoed in our thoughts, lying to ourselves.
Lying about our feelings.
Heard in the hallways, lying to others.
Lying about our thoughts.
Said to our faces.
The worst kind, when we know it's a lie.
When we know we weren't worth it.
Worth the truth.
When we know it's a lie, the moment it's heard.
Echoes in my head,
"It's a lie, it's a lie."
Wanting to scream those words to all who can hear.
When the tears are threatening to fall,
When you know you're being lied to,
When there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Yes, that's the worst kind.

Day 21:That One Time I Was Photographed

Monday: We went on a walk, resulting in a lot of photos, and a lot of laughter, as you can see above. It was great.

Thanks to my lovely sister Ally, who took this lovely shot of me and my cousin.
(You should check out her blog.)

Don't you hate it when you plan a conversation in your head,
then you talk to that person in real life,
and they don't follow the script?
Then everything gets ruined, and all you can think about is how different everything would have been if they followed your script?
And how it would have finally worked out your way for once?
Yeah, I hate that.

Day 20: The Shortest Month of the Year

This month:
I had the stomach flu.
I received a compliment that wasn't really a compliment.
A video project was turned in.
He hung out at my house for a few days in a row.
I went bowling.
Even though I am terrible at it.
I had a pillow fight.
He drove me home a few times.
I laughed a lot.
I sang songs.
I ate jellybeans.
I learned new things, and had a good time.
This month had its ups & downs, but what month doesn't?

Day 19: That Thing I Never Said

Once upon a time there was a boy, and a girl.
They were great friends.
They made each other laugh, and quoted movies alot.
Pillow fights, and Marcell the Shell.
Pictures, and dancing.
Life was good.
Then one day that girl fell for that boy.
But she never told him.
Days were spent daydreaming.
But she never told him.
She wanted to tell him, oh so bad.
But she was scared.
So she never told him.
And she doesn't know how this story will end.

Day 17/18: Memories & A Birthday

Memories can let you relive the wonderful moments of you life, yet the sad moments as well.
Some memories can make you cry, while others can make you the happiest human on the planet.
I guess it all depends on how you look at it.
And the memory you are reliving.
I'll share one with you.
One time, I painted the sidewalk, then danced in the rain on a trampoline.
I was about 11.
It was fun.

Birthdays.
That moment you grow up.
One more year.
Older.
But maybe not wiser.
Honestly,
I wish I never grew up.
Life would be simple.
But we can't stop it.
And so we move on.
To another year.

Why?

I have a lot on my mind.
And I don't know how to let it out.
So here is my thoughts, in quotes and pictures.
And I don't know what to do anymore.

"Do me a favor and don't sugar-coat anything. I want to hear your truth, no matter how raw and blunt it it. I want to to hear your thoughts, un-edited."

Day 15: Dreams of Laundry and a Boy

It's interesting to me that the day to write about your dreams happened to be today.
Because last night I had an interesting dream.
About laundry,
church,
and a boy.
It was strange, yet wonderfully lovely at the same time.
But that's the way all my dreams are.
Strange, and yet lovely.
Odd, isn't it?

Day 14: A Hoodie That's Black.

I didn't wear a cute skirt and tights.
I didn't wear a cardigan.
I didn't wear my favorite gray boots.
Or my cute brown shoes.
I didn't wear a headband.
I didn't wear anything I would usually wear.

Today I wasn't in the best of moods.
So I wore a hoodie and jeans.
I never do that.
At least not to school.
I have only worn a hoodie to school 2 times in my entire life.
(Make that 3, if you count today.)
But who's counting?

Day 13: This Long Week...

This week was a long one.
It started on Sunday, last Sunday:
I went to my cousin's farewell. She's off to Little Rock for a couple years. The afternoon was spent talking about boys, Preference, and more boys with my dear cousin Megan, as we ate brownies, and truffles.

Monday:
I stayed home, and slept all day. Being sick does that to ya.

Tuesday:
Still sick. Watched TV alot, and learned that there is NOTHING good on TV in the daytime. Except Sabrina the Teenage Witch at 930 AM. I love that show

Wednesday:
I went to school.
And curled my hair.
And recieved a compliment from one of my friends.
And it was awkward. Because he's just a friend.
But it's fine.
The afternoon was lovely, as I spent it with a friend, and I went to New Beginnings that evening.

Thursday:
He came over again after school.
And I thought about the Sweethearts dance. And how I really want to go. Really bad.

Friday:
Was the most boring day of my life.
I did nothing.
Unless you count wandering around my house for and hour staring at walls.
No, seriously.

Saturday:
was bowling night. It was fun. Way fun.
And I can't bowl to save my life. But it's fine.

And that was my week.

Day 12: My Bag...

My bag is small.
But I fill it up.
Inside you will find a wallet full of various coupons, cards, money, and little things.
I have a notebook, 3 pens, chapstick, an old receipt, a Paris keychain,a pack of gum, a box of mints, and a few old gum wrappers. Except the contents of my bag varies.
Depending on what I'm doing, depends what's in the bag.

Now if I went on to my backpack...well that's a different story.
